Refund policy

Successful campaign

If this campaign reaches its £155.00 goal and the work completes successfully, no refunds are issued. Any unspent budget is disposed per each donor's surplus preference (community pool by default, or pro-rata refund if you elected that at pledge time and the surplus exceeds the £5 minimum trigger).

Expired (did not reach goal)

• Every donor refunded their pledge minus Stripe processing fee
• Platform fee returned in full
• Stripe processing fee (~1.5% + 20p UK card) is absorbed by AnsarPool's reserve, not deducted further from your refund
• Refunds processed within 7 business days via your original payment method

Failed (worker error after funding)

• Refunds processed per your surplus preference choice at pledge time
• Platform fee returned in full
• Stripe processing on the portion already spent on AI compute is lost (not refundable)
• Incident report published on the campaign page

Donor-initiated refund

• Within 14 days of pledge, while campaign is still in funding state — full refund minus Stripe processing
• After campaign reaches funded state — funds are committed to the work; no donor-initiated refund
• If you believe a campaign has materially misrepresented its scope, contact us — operator review and possible refund at our discretion

Chargeback / dispute

If you raise a chargeback through your card issuer, AnsarPool may contest it if the campaign was delivered as described. Stripe charges ~£15 per dispute regardless of outcome — this is absorbed by AnsarPool's reserve, not passed back to creators or other donors.
